Leadership Central Texas 2026
Leadership Central Texas is offered by the Development District of Central Texas to local leaders who live or work within the seven county region (Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills, and San Saba) served by the Central Texas Council of Governments.
The purpose of Leadership Central Texas is to identify and develop regional leaders and to promote awareness of regional/state leadership opportunities across a variety of fields-from emergency planning and infrastructure to economic development and entrepreneurship. Topics are taught by leaders across these fields, and participants will be provided leadership style tests and self assessments to assist with development into regional leaders. Each attendee will be encouraged to identify leadership opportunities where their individual talents would best be applied to ensure the growth and future well-being of Central Texas.
Program dates are June 18th, July 16th, and August 20st, 2026.
Graduation will be September 24th, 2026.
Deadline for the 2026 program application is April 30th, 2026.

Leadership Central Texas has the following objectives:
- Highlight opportunities for regional leadership.
- Develop an understanding of the characteristics and skills necessary to assume a leadership role in local and regional community boards and activities.
- Develop relationships across the Central Texas Council of Governments Region.
- Promote awareness of regional social services, infrastructure, planning, and economic development activities that can be useful resources for leaders.
